Session 2- 2016

Thanks everyone for an amazing first session. It went great. I really appreciate your efforts to put sunscreen on 15-20 minutes before class. It helped keep the water clear and the filters running smoothly. Please continue applying sunscreen ahead of time so it doesn't just wash off as soon as they jump into the water.

Classes will run:
Monday, June 18- Thursday, July 21
Tuesday, June 26- Friday, June 29  (Because of Pioneer Day)

Sorry for the delay in announcing class times. There is one class that ended up being too big. Oops. To accommodate for extra bodies, I am making that class 45 minutes instead of 30. This means I have to start earlier.  Hopefully that doesn't mess anyone schedule up too much. Without further ado, here they are:

Session 1 Summer 2016

We have a warm June!  Hooray for warm weather and no shivering during swimming lessons.  Here are a couple important requests from my parents.

1-  If you apply sunscreen, please allow plenty of time (15-20 minutes) for your sunscreen to absorb before getting into the water.  Last year we had a lot of problems with the filter plugging up with sunscreen that washed off as soon as kids jumped in.  Many hours were spent each week of lessons cleaning the goo out of the filter.

This is not requested but just a general FYI: When in the water most of the time, like at swimming lessons, legs and feet rarely get burned.  I never sunscreen mine or my children's legs for lessons and we have never come away with burned legs.  That means more vitamin D for your child and less hormone disruptors and chemicals in their bodies and in the water.  If you have fair, easily burning skin, you might want some at the top of the thigh by the leg of the swimsuit.  I have burned there before. No sunscreen on the legs is NOT true if you are at a beach or water park with slides and such.  You will fry your legs with no sunscreen at places like that.  Also take into consideration how long they are playing in the yard out of the water at swimming lessons.  I don't want you to send me hate mail if your child gets burned.

2-  Please park on the street.  This allows my parents to leave from either garage when they need to.

3-  Please make sure your children are respectful of the yard: Pick up your own garbage and leave the fruits, veggies and flowers for my parents to enjoy.

We are so fortunate to have such a beautiful place for lessons.  Lets do everything we can to make sure we can continue doing lessons there.

Below is the address of the pool.  You get to the backyard by going through the gate between the two garages.

Here are the class lists.  I tried to super hard to keep siblings back to back or at least put them with a carpool partner.  This was as close as I could get it.  Thanks everyone!  I look forward to seeing you all on Monday.
